Free AI Music Detector

Unlimited checks, no account, no payment — and your audio never leaves your device.

Most tools that call themselves free are funnels: three checks, then a signup wall, then a subscription. This one is not. Every analysis is free, there is no usage cap, and there is no paid tier with a supposedly better model behind it.

That is possible because the detection runs in your browser rather than on our servers, so an extra analysis costs us nothing at all.

Upload Audio or Drag & Drop

Your audio never leaves your device. Decoding and analysis run entirely in this browser tab, and nothing is uploaded to a server. Your audio is processed only to perform this analysis, and your uploaded audio and temporary analysis data are automatically deleted after processing. No report links are created, and your analysis is never publicly accessible. Upload only audio you are authorised to process — analysis does not transfer ownership or publishing rights.

What “free” means here, precisely

Free means the whole tool, for everyone, with no conditions. No account creation, no email capture before results, no daily quota, no queue priority for paying users, and no feature held back for a premium plan that does not exist.

It also means no hidden cost in data. Since your file is never uploaded, there is no audio for us to monetise, and no upload history attached to an identity — because there is no identity.

  • Unlimited analyses, no daily or monthly cap
  • No account, no email address, no payment method
  • Full report — probability, range, confidence and reasoning — visible immediately
  • A self-contained PDF report at no cost — no links, no report IDs
  • One engine for everyone

How the site is supported

Running costs here are hosting and static content, not inference. No advertising is served today. If it is ever introduced, it will appear alongside long-form articles — never inside the detector, never between you and your result, and never as an interstitial.

We would rather run a modest ad beside an article than gate a detection result behind a signup form. That choice is deliberate, and it is the reason the tool can stay honest about its own limits: nothing here depends on you believing the result is more certain than it is.

What the free detector actually does

It decodes your file with the Web Audio API, samples up to five sections spread across the track, and runs a Hann-windowed FFT over each. From those it derives the spectral ceiling, cross-segment tonal agreement, crest factor, spectral-centroid variability, high-band energy ratio and stereo correlation.

The result is a report: an estimated AI probability with a plausible range, a confidence level, a plain-language explanation of every contributing measurement, per-segment technical detail if you want it, and an explicit list of what the estimate cannot establish.

The honest limits of a free tool — and of every paid one

No detector on the market, free or otherwise, can prove how a piece of music was made from audio alone. This one publishes no accuracy figure because no documented held-out evaluation has been completed yet, and quoting a number we cannot defend would be worse than quoting none.

It cannot name a generator, separate AI vocals, see through remixing or serve as forensic evidence. Paid competitors face the same physics; the difference is usually in how loudly they say so.
